The Game of a Lifetime...

In conjunction with the Tampa Bay Rays, the Montgomery Biscuits are proud to announce Rays at Riverwalk, a once-in-a-lifetime event, presented by Wind Creek Casino & Hotel Wetumpka, opening in January 2014. On Saturday, March 29, 2014 the Rays will play an exhibition game against the Biscuits at Riverwalk Stadium with first pitch scheduled for 2:05 PM. This game will mark the first time a Minor League team has ever played their Major League affiliate in the capital city of Montgomery.

Only three cities out of 160 every year have the opportunity to see their minor league team play the parent affiliate. Thanks to the Tampa Bay Rays cooperation, the support of Wind Creek Casino & Hotel Wetumpka to help underwrite this event and the City of Montgomery, you can witness nine former-Biscuits including David Price, Matt Moore and Evan Longoria, as well as the rest of the Rays once again play in Montgomery in this game of a lifetime.

Gates open to the general public at noon with a premium Joe Maddon Glasses giveaway for the first 2,500 fans in attendance. Fifteen minutes after gates open, the Major League club will take batting practice on the field. During batting practice, the Rays players will be available for autographs around the seating bowl area. Players, on an as-available-basis, will also have time for media interviews through the hour-long batting session.

Certain season ticket holders will also be hosted for an exclusive Q&A session with Rays Manager Joe Maddon, presented by MAX, with VIP gates opening at 11:00 AM. The Rays skipper will answer questions on top of the third-base dugout in an interview-talk format.
